#FLASHBACKFRIDAY – We love beautiful print!

Back in the summer we had an outing to Compton Verney to see Dan Pearson’s beautiful William Morris Wild Flower Meadow , where we discovered Rapture & Wright. Their small exhibition in the main entrance displayed some of their gorgeous prints on fabric, and inspired us to find out more.

Founded in 2014 by Peter Thwaites and Rebecca Aird, Rapture & Wright make beautiful fabrics and wallpapers the hard way. They use traditional hand printing techniques and small-scale production to create clever, bold designs. In today’s technologically driven world, we love the philosophy of this artisan business based in the next door village – who knew?

Their work reminds us of some of Catherine Cazalet’s recent pieces which are inspired by colour, composition and the history and origins of design – something that we here at Oasis are very fond of!
