Bring together a team of 250 from offices in London and Cheltenham for a relaxed and vibrant summer staff party was the brief. The goal? A day filled with mingling, delicious food and drink, exciting activities, and fantastic music – all at a venue with excellent transport links to both Cheltenham and London.

Our Solution: A Wild West Adventure at Over Farm Barn!

The first step in crafting this unforgettable corporate event was finding a setting that exuded an informal vibe, offered great value, high-quality food and drink, with excellent accessibility for buses and cars. We were thrilled to partner with Over Farm Barn, a unique Gloucestershire gem of a venue offering extensive private indoor and outdoor space perfectly situated near major road and rail links, based on a working farm with ample parking and flexible capacity.

Over Farm's in-house catering provided a wealth of options with flexible price points, ensuring everyone's tastes were catered for. By adding the adjoining field to the main venue hire, we created all the space needed to transform the grounds into a sprawling "playground" for a memorable long afternoon and evening party.

Wrangling the Theme: A Rootin' Tootin' Cowboy Extravaganza!

With the perfect Cotswold venue confirmed, the cowboy theme felt like a natural fit for Over Farm's rustic buildings and existing furniture. We enhanced the atmosphere with playful Western-themed props and scenery, festive flags, and curated activity zones. Guests were wholeheartedly encouraged to dress up in their best Western wear, and they rose to the occasion, adding to the vibrant atmosphere!

Unforgettable Experiences & Delicious Bites:

Arrivals were greeted by high-energy themed acrobats, instantly breaking the ice and setting a lively tone for the first few hours. We served up a feast of locally reared BBQ meats, complemented by sweet treats like locally picked strawberries and a delightful sweet stall, set up by the client team.

In and around the barns, bales and benches, guests enjoyed face painting, a fantastic live blues duo, and browsed a gallery of photos from previous events. The indoor space and outdoor courtyard provided welcome shelter, proving essential given the truly "British summer" weather – we experienced everything from unseasonal wind and rain to bright, hot sun!

A "must-have" for this group, based on previous successful events, was fairground attractions. These were revealed later in the afternoon, and despite coinciding with a downpour, they drew crowds together in the neighbouring field, creating a fantastic buzz alongside more live music and a vibrant cocktail bar.

As dusk settled, the party moved back to the main barn for the unforgettable Bandaoke experience, inviting guests to become rockstars alongside the live band on stage.

A Grand Finale & Seamless Departures:

Fires were lit, festoons twinkled, and freshly served pizza kept the energy high as the revelling continued. To ensure a stress-free departure, a fleet of shuttle services allowed guests to head to Gloucester, Cheltenham, or London at their convenience.
