HollywoodintheCotswolds Arrival 561

The Brief

Two Daughters Entertainment approached us to produce "Hollywood in the Cotswolds," a dual-purpose themed event that served as both a high-profile private celebration and a brand immersion experience.

The client required a seamless blend of family-friendly fun and sophisticated adult entertainment to celebrate the release of their new animated movie The Land of Sometimes and introduce the company to a new audience.

The venue, a rustic barn in the Gloucestershire countryside, needed to be transformed into a glamorous film-premiere setting while retaining its "Barn Chic" charm. The event needed to highlight the client’s IP (including characters like Moley), cater to VIP guests including celebrities, aristocracy and industry leaders, and manage a complex guest list of adults and children simultaneously.

Our Solution

A Saturday afternoon of movies and entertainment at Hill Barn, Lower Swell, in the Cotswolds for 200 Adults and 60 Children, themed as "Barn Chic with a Film Twist". Watch the Video here.

Oasis Events provided a full-service production, managing every element from traffic logistics to creative set design.

1. Logistics & Site Management

To mitigate the roadwork delays, we communicated with guests with alternative driving routes in advance and deployed a team of parking marshals equipped with walkie-talkies at key junctions and the venue entrance to direct flow. We utilised track matting to create accessible overflow parking and provided a shuttle minibus to transport guests from their cars to the barn door, ensuring glamorous attire remained mud-free. A robust "connecting marquee" was installed to shield guests from the wind between the buildings at Hill barn. We made the most of the need for a marquee with red carpet to continue the Hollywood theming and a selection of games to keep teens, families and adults alike busy!

2. Immersive Styling & Branding

We brought Hollywood to the countryside with high-impact visuals:

The Arrival: Guests were greeted by a 2.3m tall "HOLLYWOOD" sign and searchlights scanning the sky.

A red-carpet entrance featured custom "Walk of Fame" stars bearing the names of the talent involved, such as Helena Bonham Carter and Richard E. Grant.

Lighting & Decor: We utilized gold lighting text projections on the Dutch Barn and dressed the interior with warm velvets, gold accents, and illuminated trees to create an inviting winter atmosphere.

Brand Integration: Custom "Two Daughters" branding was integrated subtly yet effectively, from the logo projected on the lectern to branded espresso martinis.

Notable challenges included:

  • Logistical Hurdles: Significant roadworks threatened to disrupt guest arrival.
  • Weather Proofing: With a late November date, the site required extensive weatherproofing, including heating and protection against high winds common to the hill location.
  • Dual Demographics: The event required engaging 60 children without compromising the sophisticated atmosphere for the 200 adult guests.
  • Access & Parking: The venue's main car park was insufficient for the guest count, requiring the management of overflow parking in a muddy field during winter.

3. Bespoke Entertainment & Catering

We curated distinct experiences for adults and children:

For the Adults: A cocktail reception featured close up magic and themed drinks like the "Moley-Cante" , followed by a performance from a 6-piece band, The Distractions with musical supervision by the legendary Maggie Rodford.

For the children: We dedicated the Stone Barn to a children's takeover run by Sharky and George . Activities included bug hotel crafting, "Minute to Win It" games, and a "Snuffle Shuffle" dance-off led by a costumed Moley character.

Creative Catering: A "Kids Bar" served "English Garden" mocktails with gummy worms and berry-scented bubbles using flavour blaster technology.

High end production: the set, stage, lighting and sound design were designed to work with the theme, providing for high-definition video on a giant LED wall, speakers and performers alike, and deliver top quality performance. The single day set up, one night event and overnight get out was supported by expert, experienced technicians and production management.

The Result

Despite the challenging infrastructure and weather conditions, the event ran like clockwork. The strategic separation of spaces allowed adults to enjoy a high-end cocktail party while children were fully engaged in an immersive brand world.

The seamless traffic management ensured that the VIP arrival experience was stress-free, setting the tone for a night of Hollywood glamour in the heart of the Cotswolds.

On the night feedback was copious! Guests felt welcomed and spoiled to a fabulous event which yielded rave reviews.

"I am so glad we chose Oasis Events to look after our huge event in November 2025.

We are a film and TV production company and have held events all over the world, so our expectations are extremely high. Oasis not only met these expectations—they exceeded them.
