The Brief
Our brilliant and bold clients So Glos, Gloucestershire’s leading media brand launched the inaugural So Glos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards (#SGGLA) at historic Blackfriars Priory,Gloucester in May 2018. We were invited to be an Event Partner to make it all happen for them, and haven’t looked back! We've partnered with So Glos ever since for the annual #SGGLA events subsequently held at the glorious Gloucester Cathedral in 2019 (online in 2020 of course) and at diverse Gloucestershire venues such as Deya Brewery and Cheltenham Ladies College.
The Solution
The ambition for the So Glos awards evenings is always to create an alternative to commonly known awards event formulas, with a relaxed and informal event, a celebratory atmosphere but no less slick in the delivery.
Everywhere the awards take us the iconic Gloucestershire venues each have their own unique benefits and set of challenges, within which to ensure a good flow for the attendee journey, sight lines and acoustics for the awards presentations, and opportunities to dress and light the spaces to keep them on brand.
Over a 5 year partnership, So Glos has pulled together the content, partner and sponsor development, and Oasis has provided venue, supplier, and live event consultation, and onsite support to guarantee safe and timely production, speaker rehearsals, and event delivery.
