The Cotswold Life EMI Awards 2016

Oasis Events was chosen as Event Partner to the Cotswold Life team for the second year to support their EMI (Engineering Manufacturing and Innovation) Awards in September. View the video, HERE!  We have been on the journey with the Cotswold Life team from the outset, launching the first ever awards at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester and bringing the first awards ceremony to fruition at Cheltenham Town Hall in 2015.

The event has grown significantly with massive take up from the outset, selling out the number of seats available at the beautiful Town Hall and requiring the ceremony to move to the Cheltenham racecourse for its second year.  Our role as Event Partner is to provide a memorable and unique backdrop and give the awards their own identity at every venue.  The look is based on colours to emulate the logo, elegant silver grey, gold and black.

At the awards this year we wrapped the Centaur room in tall black drapes to hide the tiered seating, dressed with elegant full height wall overlays, and added festoon showers to surround the entrance and a bespoke 5m tall installation around the bars.

Representatives from some of the largest national manufacturing and engineering support organisations joined us to showcase the breadth and depth of innovation and skills in the Cotswolds, and keynote speaker Lord Paul Drayson gave an inspirational speech celebrating the Cotswolds as a hotbed of design and manufacturing capability.  Each of the 100 Awards entries offered an impressive insight into what is happening across this sector, and we felt proud to be associated with the innovation and creative work happening on our global scale in our Cotswold community.
